Shrine within Forbidden City

The Forbidden City, once the walled center of government for the ruling Imperial family of the Chinese dynasties, has been open to the public for only about 20 years. Chinese citizens and tourists,alike, are amazed at how the emperors once lived, while the rest of the population lived in hutongs (neighborhoods) outside the high locked gates. This is a shrine used by the Emperor and his relatives within the Inner Court.
